Pathogens don’t stop at borders. Neither do we.

We created the Experimental and Population-based Pathogen Investigation Center (EPPIcenter) to provide a unique environment where the artificial boundaries between traditionally siloed areas integral to fighting infectious diseases are erased. At the EPPIcenter, we interweave state-of-the-art field studies, molecular technologies, and analysis to drive research forward, forge novel laboratory and computational tools, and train the next generation of scientists. Our vision is to push the field of infectious disease research towards a more nimble, integrated approach necessary to realize gains against pathogens of global importance.
