Sofonias Tessema Awarded African Career Accelerator Award Fellowship
We are proud to announce that Sofonias Tessema, PhD has been awarded the African Career Accelerator Award Fellowship--designed to help postdoctoral research scientists become research group leaders on the African continent.
As one of seven new fellows awarded by the Crick African Network, Sofonias hopes to develop and apply next-generation sequencing based malaria surveillance method that mitigate the limitations of traditional approaches in Ethiopia. He aims to create tools to provide detailed and comprehensive information on the genetic profiles of malaria parasites in Ethiopia.
